For a long time, I thought this season was about the relationships, experiences, and choices that hurt me.
But underneath all of it was something deeper.
It was about the versions of me who believed love had to be earned, begged for, held onto, or survived. The woman who kept trying. Kept hoping. Kept staying, until she understood that holding on was costing her more than letting go.
This reflection is not about judging who I was then. It is about seeing her differently, honoring what she carried, and recognizing how much courage it took to finally choose herself.
Thank you for walking through this season with me.
Until we meet again, keep following the dragonflies.

For a long time, I thought this chapter was only about a marriage that failed.
But the deeper truth was about the ways I kept abandoning myself in hopes that someone else would choose me.
In this finale, I reflect on the decisions I made after high school, the shame I carried into motherhood, the relationship I tried to turn into a family, and the years I spent choosing possibility over what was right in front of me.
This episode is not about judging the woman I was then.
It is about understanding why she stayed, honoring what she survived, and recognizing what it cost her to disappear inside of love.
True love should never require you to lose yourself.
This chapter taught me that.
And this is exactly where I am leaving it.
Content note: This episode includes discussions of sex, pregnancy, emotional abuse, infidelity, abandonment, and self-worth.

In this chapter of The Dragonfly Experience, I’m taking you back to my high school years — when I looked like I fit everywhere but felt invisible inside. Cheerleader. Honor roll. Smiling in public, grieving in private.
This episode explores the friendships that held me together, the wounds I hid, the heartbreak that cracked something open, and the first love that saw me before I could fully see myself.
This is where I began learning the shape of my heart — what broke it, what held it, and what I kept chasing because I didn’t yet understand my wounds.
If you’ve ever carried grief quietly or searched for safety in the wrong places, this one may speak to you.
Step into the space between the break and the light.

Before I had the language for grief, I knew what it felt like to lose home. This episode is for anyone who was mothered by someone who didn’t have to—but chose to.
On paper, she was my adopted sister. In my heart, she was my sanctuary, my “sister mama.” She loved deeply, lived joyfully, and taught me that presence love lasts beyond this life.
In this episode, I share memories of the woman who raised me, the grief of losing her too soon, and the handwritten words she left behind that still guide me today.
🌿 Themes you’ll hear:
Her words are a reminder that love doesn’t die—it transforms.
✨ If you’ve lost the one who made you feel safe, this episode holds space for you.

I was six months old when I was adopted. On the outside I had dresses, bows, and the perfect smile — but inside I felt hollow. In this episode I talk about growing up in a religious, rule-filled home, the loneliness beneath the lace, friendships that felt transactional, and the relief and emptiness that followed loss. I close with practical ways I learned to hold myself, journal, and choose my own yes. This one is for anyone who’s ever tried to shrink to belong.
